My current work in progress is a bed alcove. My customer was interested in a Carl Larsson inspired bed alcove. Carl Larsson was a Swedish Arts and Crafts period painter; his painting emphasized the beauty of straight lines in Swedish country style furnishings.

Alcoves-recesses found in walls- are great places to create a private area. Alcove beds create a unique and cozy element and add a secluded safe haven in your bedroom. Once the bed structure is built, you have the delightful experience of adding your own style to innately charming space.
Functionality is an important aspect of any design. For this specific alcove, we have added two built-in drawers under the bed for easy storage.
